Why do the predators kill unarmed people in AvP?

Why do they kill everyone in the whaling station (at the very start of the movie not when the expedition gets there)? It doesn't make sense. Sure, the pyramid is below the station but the whalers were just doing their job. And in AvP 2 its ridiculous how the main predator stalks and kills civilians for no reason, when it could be hunting the aliens instead. eg when they're barricaded in the gun shop and the predator catches one of them and hangs him from the ceiling for no reason, then leaves. wtf?

I called about an abandoned car in front of my house, been there for 2 weeks windows down. It has rained many days. I was worried about all the water and stuff sitting in it attracting bugs and who knows what else. I talked to neighbors and they told me they knew who car it was and that is all they would say to me. So 2 weeks of it sitting there I called the police and asked if there was an abandonment law. They never really answered the question, just stated they would come look at and talk to neighbors and tag the car so if not moved in 2 days they will tow it. Well they talked to neighbors, then came directly over to my home! Telling me they talked to neighbors and they claimed they told us that the key in it broke off and that they were gonna move it. I told the police, why couldn't they have called me to tell me this, that you are endangering my family coming over to my house to tell me this, in front of neighbors. The police was like smirking about (make me wonder if friends with the people, its a really small town) What if I was reporting something really serious? btw yes the neighbors knew who it was since they where standing outside when police came to my house. I am the divorced mother of a 10 yr old boy with shared custody. My son has been diagnosed with AD HD and recently depression. At the time he was doing this I was downstairs in the basement cleaning and doing laundry. my neighbor came and informed me of what was going on. I punished my son. thanked the neighbors and had a talk with my son about fires and how dangerous they are. When my ex husbands wife came to pick up my son I did not mention anything about the fire to her. I know I should have but I wanted to talk to my husband about it first, and we wasn't due back from work for another 3 days. When he did return I explained what happened. He was pretty upset. We decided we needed to talk it over with his dad and figure out what to do with him. I let my husband do the talking cause it's not a good idea to have me and my ex discuss problems, a mediator is much needed. Once their conversation was over which I wasn't even a part of. I was informed that my son has done this type of thing before. I was informed that my ex now wants to lock him up for it. I haven't even had a chance to parent my son. I believe I can find him help through local resources without going to the extreme of having him incarcerated. So what do I do try to get into see the judge that handled my custody case and fight my ex in court. Kaspersky 2011 wont download onto my computer?

Will a sea turtle bother me while im kayaking? (please read)?

My favorite place to kayak is through the tight, winding channels of the ocean that are extremely shallow (Around a foot deep) and recently I have been seeing a lot of sea turtles. Big ones too, their shells about 2 feet wide or a bit more. Anyway, since kayaking requires a paddle to cut through the water, i'm worried that i will hit one of the turtles with my paddle and i will either scare it or it may try to bite me. Some people say they'll swim away but i've come incredibly close to hitting some and it seems to me that they're pretty slow to get out of the way...I may sound pathetic because i'm afraid to harm turtles but i hear they're endangered and i dont want to harm myself or the turtles. when I was convicted 4 yrs ago I was originally charged with 3 charges..1- endangering the welfare of an incompetant(for having a naked picture of my ex girlfriend on my phone, she was 1 1/2yrs younger than me and we dated for 2yrs, her parents even tried to get us to marry each other)..2-breaking and entering(to my own house) and contributing to the dilenquency of a minor-alcohol (i was 18 at the time)...3-criminal mischeif 1st degree(for throwing 1 beer bottle at a church sign outside of a party, I was 1 of about 10 ppl throwing stuff at the sign and I only threw one bottle)...when I was arrested I was denied the right to have an attorney present or make my phone call, the police threatened me and told me to say what they wanted me to say or they said I would have to sit in jail for 3 days until my hearing and they would not take it easy on me at all, so obviously as a scared 18 yr old I did what they told me and was in and out of court every month for 15 months bc they kept postponing it everytime I went...then after 15 months my public defender told me to just go ahead and plead guilty to all 3 charges and 2 of them would get dropped and I would only take the lesser of the 3 and get MAX 2 yrs probation and that's it, so I did and the judge gave me 5 yrs probation and a felony!!! Keep in mind this was my first offense EVER and it has ruined my whole life, now I'm getting a lawyer to sue them because I am being told that this is ridiculous and an outrage that they could not have even charged me with 2 of the charges at all and criminal mischeif is a joke for throwing 1 bottle a a sign...so I'm curious as to what another attorney might think about all this?..please be honest!

Weird sleep pattern dangers?

Aside from making me incredibly tired, is there any short term danger to me staying up for 3 -4 days at a time, then sleeping for 24 hours straight? I have some severe sleep problems at the moment but im avoiding sleeping tablets because i would hate to build a dependency to them where i think i need them to sleep. I am obviously not driving or doing anything that would endanger others while im like this. I just need to know if there are any dangers to this sleep pattern short term.

The other day, I went to a fundraiser concert for my cousin who was in a car crash a couple of months ago. After the concert, my family and I met a woman who's son had played at the concert that evening. When she met me, she said, "So this is the famous Arianna!". My mom "requested" that he would sing the song at my other cousin's graduation party that was coming up, since she hadn't heard it since I was about 2yrs old (I'm almost 15 now). (He plays guitar). After they had talked, we said our goodbyes (I turned around and gave a goodbye wave to him, and he had been looking my way as I walked away), we left, and I had learned that he is 17yrs old. My mom also found him cute. I would really like to see him again, and get to talk to him. Do you think that I could have a chance, or do you think that he is a little too old for me? As I had said before, I am going to be 15 in September; he is 17, he goes to a Christian school in Washington, PA (I'm around Pittsburgh). Ok so I read the topic of this because I have tried to commit suicide twice in my life when I was 16 and I was told that I had 5 days to live as my liver was poisoned. I went on a drip and lucky enough my liver function level slowly increased. I saw how upset people were when they came to visit me and I was so selfish to decide to end my life when I had my boyfriend and friends and family. But now that I have read this, I find that it is a little ridiculous that your contemplating suicide over a girl you dont know that well. You spent a few days with her and now you think your inlove. Let me tell you that your not. She has a boyfriend you need to respect that. I think you should pick yourself up and move on this is going to happen to you alot in the future, everyone goes through break ups but this isnt even a break up. I think you should move on and give her the space she needs. If not all your going to do is push her away and make yourself look clingy and that is NOT attractive in a male at all. Alright, Well i have this one friends, or so it seems. She's a nice person and she's like-able but she's extremely rude to me. Alright, so I really want to help with animals and all, but I don't think I'm old enough to be handling wildlife legally.. About the Predators 2010 movie... is the bad predator a crossover with an alien?

To make a long story short, I am a 42 year old virgin that has attempted time and time again to have a girlfriend. I would eventually like to marry. Everytime I start to "date" someone, it always end in failure for me. It took me a lifetime to figure things out. The first girl I dated ended up making a fool of me. What she did too me made "careful" about others I would date. I never felt confortable and would always feel second rate. After college, I occasionally date someone every few years which would always end up the same way. About a year and a half ago, I started going out with this woman. Again, I could never bring myself into telling her how I feel. There are times that I feel that even our platonic friendship is endangered. I am on the verge of letting her go to find someone else. By chance are you running windows XP or 2000? I am really getting about tired of Microsoft and all the programs that are "Standard issue" these days.. I have people calling me to fix their XP every other day for this error- and that is just family ugh. You have a bad system file, or in other words a) somethings is incompatible, b) you have a virus or c) you downloaded a screwed up update from microsoft or some other inconsiderate jack*ss that doesn't think anyone ought to run files in Xp or 2000 anymore and doesn't realize there are people out there who refuse to upgrade! Either way, figure out how to do a clean install and then try not to do whatever i was that caused it again.

My husband had a job that required him to spend months out of state. He started in March of this year. We we're not happy about that so he said he will leave the job once the time came for him to leave which was the end of May. Well he ended up leaving the state for the job, without saying goodbye to me our boys, who are 5 and 9 yrs old. I found out the hard way, instead of quitting he never came home that night. I ended up getting in tough with him. We had a rocky marriage and fought alot. He didn't like the fact that I supported the family and wanted to move ahead in his career. He hated where we lived and wanted to move back up north. He ended up losing the job and blamed me for it. to be honest, I did call there after he never came home to find out what was going on. For a month he hasn't called the children at all, when I've tried by emailing him, I told him its one thing not to want to be with me anymore, but at least call to speak to the boys, but he ignores me. Why do you think he's neglecting his children? Im a pharmacist, so financially im ok, he doesnt help out financially at all.

Well this past sunday my little sister had her birthday party, and since our birthdays are only 2 days apart she had her annoying little friends over and I had my boyfriend over, along with one of my guy friends I've practically known since I was born. So it was getting pretty late and I wanted to leave so me and my boyfriend started to leave and while we were saying our goodbyes B said something smart to me, jokingly, to the affect of "oh why you losers leaving so soon?" And being my classy self I replied "bye A, **** you B" just joking around and B yelled across walmart "you wish". What he said didn't really anger me or anything, but I did a fearful side glance at my boyfriend who gets extremely irritated and jealous easily and he didn't really say anything, because it turns out he liked my guy friends and thought they were pretty cool. Okay so my friend who is 15 years old met some 20 year old guy on an app for itouch. She got really serious with him and has been in a relationship with him for months. They text and talk on the phone all the time and actually plan on meeting in person soon and getting married when she turns 18. She is planning on meeting him in person too this christmas. Me and another one of her friends think this is EXTREMELY stupid and dangerous.
