What is wrong with my boyfriend?

My boyfriend is a happy go lucky guy and he is great 90 percent of the time, but sometimes he gets in these moods where he is super mad and wont speak to me and just be mean whenever i try to talk to him and he just ignores me. He wont sleep with me (in the same bed) the full night hell end up getting up and he wont kiss me goodbye when he goes to work. this will last a few days then he will be fine again. This last time started because i asked him if he wanted to go to our friends house next door (i had asked him about 30 min before and he said maybe) when i said it again he got mad and said he was sick of it. i said sick of what and he said you need to get friends i know your stuck in this house all day and you wanna do something when i get home but i just wanna relax. I wasnt even pressuring him i just asked him then he went crazy now he wont talk to me. I dont get it? like i said this doesnt happen often but when it does its bad. his fam says this is normal but its not cool. I love him and i dont want to leave him but somethings gotta give. What do i do?
