Kaspersky 2011 wont download onto my computer?

is it because im doing it in safemode. it tells me my computer might be infected and tries to download avptool. but it cant download avp and tells me to do it manually. i downloaded kaspersky and avp onto a cd and tried to install it in safe mode, thats when i get the messages. i already ran avp, but it doesnt say much after it scans. it makes a report saying found 2 events, but i dont know what that mean and it doesnt say if it deleted it or what. what is going on?
