Are we going on our first date?

i met this really nice guy online, we both new each other a bit, but we really started talking online. finally he asked if i was going to this show at school, i told him i would, but apparently we both weren't going with anyone so we ended up meeting there and sitting with each other. we talked and laughed alot.He had his friends come up to him, but its felt like he was more interested in me and talking to me instead. and i feel like he kinda liked me? he walked me to the car at the end of the show and i gave him a hug goodbye. after that we continued to text and then 2 days later he asks me if i'd like to go mini-golfing with him. i said yes! but now im a little confused. truth is, he broke up with his gf 6 days ago, and i helped him, talking to him through it. so maybe its too early for a date? maybe this is just like hanging out with each other? im confused. so do you we are going on our first date together?
